Market Highlights


Congratulations to “Neil Loewen”. Neil won the Abbotsford Fun Pass Monthly draw. He won passes to AgriFair, Airshow, Abbotsford EcoDairy, and Castle Fun Park. All of the cash from donations that accompanied the draw entries will support the Abbotsford Food Bank. And we thank Tourism Abbotsford for coordinating Neil’s prize.

Market mascot, Abbie spends market days visiting with vendors. We invite our younger customers  to find Abbie, come to the Market Info tent and tell us where you think you found her. If you are right, you get to choose a gift out of Abbie’s prize trunk. 





Today’s Recipe

Carrot Gouda Crisps

These cheese crisps are a simple combo of Gouda cheese and carrots, these healthy baked cheese crisps are savory, addictive, low in carbs, and gluten-free!


    • 2 cups shredded Gouda cheese about 200 g
    • 1 cup shredded carrots about 100 g


    1. Place shredded carrots in a cheesecloth or a paper towel and wring excess moisture.
    1. Combine Gouda and carrots.
    1. Scoop tablespoon-sized mounds of the mixture onto a parchment paper-line baking sheet. With a fork or fingers, flatten each mound.
    1. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 C) for 8 to 12 minutes, until edges are browned and cheese is loudly sizzling.
    1. Allow crisps to rest on baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack or plate to completely cool and crisp.
